Whatcha Doin?

With iffy weather for the afternoon, Teague and I rescheduled our day out. Instead, I'll be doing some laundry. The numbered blocks aren't a perpetual calendar, but remind me when I've done 30 loads of laundry so I can run the washer clean cycle. My other machine had a light that would come on to remind me, but this machine doesn't so I have to keep track manually.

Whatcha doin?

  1. You're going to make me go look at my machine to see if I have that cycle! LOL ;)

  2. The numbered blocks are so cute! Sorry your day out had to be rescheduled. I think I will be doing some art today and grocery shopping. Happy September! Big Hugs!

    1. The blocks were fun to make with stickers I had hanging around.

  3. I wipe my washer dry after each load and keep it opened up. From what I've read that ought to keep me from having to do those regular washer cleans. I hope. Am I correct? Is there another reason to do it than avoiding the mustiness?

    1. I think the cleaner also gets into the rubber gasket. I also keep the door open ajar to prevent the musty smell.

    2. I wipe out the rubber gasket each time. I should look it up and see if there's a reason besides preventing mustiness to use the cleaner. Thanks!

  5. You're so much more washer-organized than I am. I might wind up exiling myself to the laundromat so that I can have adult supervision.

  6. I'm so old school, I'm still using a washer and dryer I bought in 1991 when I moved to Wichita. Lately, I've been washing everything by hand (daily) because it's quicker and saves water. Oh these new-fangled machines (grin).

  7. One load is good. Yesterday I did 5 loads and 2 on Monday. How can 2 people make so much laundry? (Including sheets and towels). Of course those front loaders don't hold much. I'd love to go back to the old fashion top loaders, but as long as mine is running, nope, not going to spend the money. Happy September

    1. I usually do a load of close each day just so the laundry doesn't pile up. My front loader is a commercial model so I can wash quilts and comforters so I don't have to go to the laundromat

  8. Just packed away laundry. We have a Miele. And a Miele-baer. None of them counts what I´m doing on that side ;-)
I´ll take my "winter-coat" and head off to the city for Hubby again. The "joy" of having no job.
