How Does Your Garden Grow?

The garden is looking bedraggled and spent. The big garden story this week was harvesting a big, beautiful tomato. Only to find

some thing (I suspect Timex, the chipmunk) took ONE bite from the back of it. One bite!

  1. ONE BITE????? If that's ONE bite I'd be running in the opposite direction! :O

    1. Okay it could have been several small bites, but they only nibbled the back. Finish the damn thing! Don't leave it for us to get all excited about because it was beautiful from the front!

  3. I just get so frustrated when this happens. And it happens too much. My garden is looking very bedraggled too. It's time start thinking of next year, or for you, some greenhouse planting.

    1. It's the reason I ripped out my strawberry patch. The chipmunks would eat a bit out of the back of each berry! As to planning, the garden is Himself's hobby. I just take the pictures.

  4. Those chipmunks’ mothers must have done a really bad job of teaching them manners! Good luck with future gardening.

    1. I think she told the wee 'uns, I'm not cooking today, go eat at the neighbor's house. 😺

  5. That was a BIG bite, but at least you got a tomato. The bunnies ate my ONE tomato down to the stalk before it could even get one little yellow flower on it. So sad this happened, but it made a great story!

Oh, will you share the Dunny-and-spoon thing?

  7. That's a sad sight :( It's a shame they won't satisfy themselves with the bird seed.
