Fun Facts About the Commonwealth of Massachusetts

In 1981,  Babingtonite was designated the official state mineral. It's a rare mineral and Massachusetts is one of the few places in the world where it is found. The finest quality of crystal is found in Massachusetts out of all 50 of the United States.

  3. How cool is that!? I queried Google and i'am told the Tx State Mineral is Blue Topaz... but is that a mineral... ? Anyway... cool to learn of yours.. Hugs! deb

  5. I had never heard of it. I googled to see if there was any of it anywhere close to me. There's some in North Carolina, but nowhere near as much as in MA.
