Today, 23. January, is National Handwriting Day. Grab a pen, pencil, or crayon. Write a note to yourself, take a memo, write out your grocery list or a to do list. Write a letter to your mother, your senator, your spouse or significant other. Write in your journal. Use your own handwriting and celebrate written communication.

I write notes to myself all the time. I have always loved to write - cursive has always been fun to me! Too bad some schools are getting rid of it these days! So sad... :-(
If we all write in cursive we can have our own secret society!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
The grocery list is about it for me. The Husband still mourns what chemo did to his fine motor control, but he still uses the fountain pens anyway.
Good for him. Most of it is muscle memory. The more he uses, the more his brain, hand, and eye will coordinate. New pathways can be laid down.
As my Lady, pointed out many schools are not teaching cursive. Younger generations have a hard time reading cursive. So it would be like we are writing in code! 😺
I understand why since most of everything they do is on the computer so keyboarding skills are important. Handwriting notes gets and keeps the information in your head better.

I like to look at examples of cursive writing. I have an old (early 1900's) autograph book and everyone who wrote in it had wonderful handwriting.
