How Does Your Garden Grow? A Day Late

The most miraculous thing happened. Last Fall, Himself hired a young man from WPI to help him dig up all the daffodil bulbs in this garden and to turn over the soil. When they finished, they covered the area with landscapers cloth.

Himself noticed the tarp was lifted up. He removed the tarp to find lots of daffodils poking up through the soil!

It was a nice day on Saturday. The sun was out and I decided I'd go outside to get some fresh air and a little exercise. The crow was not happy when I filled the bird feeder.

Lots of branches and sticks have come down in the wind and rainstorms we've had. So I thought I would pick them up and

add them to the pile Himself had started

He wants to use them as a base in some raised garden beds he want to plant. Help me, Lord. I think he's starting a farm, and I'm losing my Zensical garden.

While picking up sticks, I noticed the bark on this tree is peeling. It doesn't look good. Look$ like a call to the arbori$t to see if this$ tree need$to be taken down.

  5. Daffodils (the not-fancy kind) can sometimes be amazingly persistent. We have one or two that were planted in the space where we installed the airconditioning unit years ago, and they come up AROUND the cement base for it every year! So yours don’t exactly surprise me.
