The Eldest and I went to visit the Patterns In Bloom an Orchid Exhibition at the New England Botanic Garden at Tower Hill. The exhibit combined the fun and colorful sculpture blooms of Molly Gambardella with the Garden's annual orchid display in the Limonaia and the Orangerie. The exhibit is on display until March 17, 2024
The artist used upcycled materials and the patterns found on orchids as her inspiration for her creations.
It was fun to wander through the exhibit trying to see all the sculptures
My drink reference is the Coffee Tree
With its beautiful berries for those that like their coffee beans roasted and freshly ground
Grab a cup for your coffee. Teabies (a phrase stolen from my friend, Andy Fish) can find tea selections on the opposite side of this display.
Drop by hosts, Bleubeard and Elizabeth's blog to find out what the rest of the T Stands For gang is up to. If you want to play, include in your Tuesday post a beverage or container for a beverage. Don't forget to link your blog to Bleubeard and Elizabeth's page.
Those are the most unusual orchids I have ever seen. The sculptures are amazing and very unique. I especially like the hanging ones.
ReplyDeleteGotta love a coffee tree. I liked seeing the berries, too. I have enough mugs to last me a lifetime, but those are really nice ones in the gift shop. I like that they have lids. Thanks for taking us to New England Botanic Gardens and sharing those sculptures with us, as well as the mugs, for T this Tuesday, dear CJ. We had a similar post today.
As they say, great minds think alike. 😸
DeleteI love conservatories like the one you show, and I especially love it when they include an art exhibit among the plantings. I’ve seen several of them in various places. Your photos are really neat.
