This week's pick from the tea sampler was a Japanese Sencha. This green tea smelled very earthy. Maybe my taste buds aren't sophisticated enough, but I didn't think the tea had any taste at all. Adding a spoon of honey just made it taste like dirty, hot water and honey.
Add this one to the no thank you column.

Sorry that tea was a failure! Have a happy T-Day "anyways"...
ReplyDeleteIt was fun to try somethin new
DeleteI think our sense of smell/taste changes as we age. My smeller/taster hasn't been right for years! (no comments from the peanut gallery, please! LOL)
ReplyDeleteWhat? I can't say there's no accounting for taste? 🤣
DeleteDziękuję za wpis
ReplyDeleteNie ma za co
DeleteI'm a bit like you, in that I buy tea that sounds interesting only to find it doesn't taste of anything. I hope your 'no-thank-you' pile is not too big.
ReplyDeleteHappy T-Day,
Lisca
I think I'm up to 3 or 4 from this sampler out of a dozen or so
DeleteP.S. .... OMG, you shoo the devil!!! LOL, like in hush him away! Don´t shoot him, please!!! (Schoduvel)
ReplyDeleteI thought you said shoot. 🤣I must be channeling my inner Dean 🤣
DeleteCJ, You convinced me. I don't want any:)
ReplyDeleteGood choice
DeleteIt seems to me there are more no thanks than thanks in this sampler. It's good they were single serving teas because you aren't stuck with a bunch of the same kind of tea you don't like. Thanks for sharing this latest sample with us for T this Tuesday, dear CJ.
ReplyDeleteSo far, 4 nope and one yes
DeleteSo far (if I remember correctly) you only have 1 tea from this sampler you really liked. I might have had sencha tea on my trip to Japan back in 2018, but I don't know since I don't read Japanese. I looked it up and it's definitely not matcha, which I didn't like. I hope it was a good T day. I was out early so I'm finally getting around to commenting.
ReplyDeleteGood for you. One yes and 4 nays
DeleteWell ... at least you tried a different tea.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
that's what counts
