T Stands for Tea Sampler

This week's pick from the tea sampler was a Japanese Sencha. This green tea smelled very earthy. Maybe my taste buds aren't sophisticated enough, but I didn't think the tea had any taste at all. Adding a spoon of honey just made it taste like dirty, hot water and honey.

Add this one to the no thank you column.

Drop by hosts, Bleubeard and Elizabeth's blog to find out what the rest of the T Stands For gang is up to. If you want to play, include in your Tuesday post a beverage or container for a beverage. Don't forget to link your blog to Bleubeard and Elizabeth's page.

  1. Sorry that tea was a failure! Have a happy T-Day "anyways"...

  2. I think our sense of smell/taste changes as we age. My smeller/taster hasn't been right for years! (no comments from the peanut gallery, please! LOL)

    1. What? I can't say there's no accounting for taste? 🤣

  3. I'm a bit like you, in that I buy tea that sounds interesting only to find it doesn't taste of anything. I hope your 'no-thank-you' pile is not too big.
    Happy T-Day,
    Lisca

  6. It seems to me there are more no thanks than thanks in this sampler. It's good they were single serving teas because you aren't stuck with a bunch of the same kind of tea you don't like. Thanks for sharing this latest sample with us for T this Tuesday, dear CJ.

  7. So far (if I remember correctly) you only have 1 tea from this sampler you really liked. I might have had sencha tea on my trip to Japan back in 2018, but I don't know since I don't read Japanese. I looked it up and it's definitely not matcha, which I didn't like. I hope it was a good T day. I was out early so I'm finally getting around to commenting.
