1. Evening television viewing still making our way through "holy" movies. Quo Vadis, Samson, and we found a series Moses, the Law Giver starring Burt Lancaster and Anthony Quayle
2. We went to the old people's discount shopping hours (8 am - 9 am) at Ocean State Job Lots to pick up a bunch of herbs and spices. I was surprised at the variety they had
3. The scruffy bunny came out in the afternoon to nibble the grass
4. A little device I have to help with hot and cold flashes stopped working after an iOS update. After some fiddling, I was able to find a troubleshooting solution that worked.
5. Even though it really wasn't quite warm enough for ice cream, Teague and I wen to Dairy Queen and had Blizzards for an afternoon treat during our weekly session.
How was your week?
'Holy movies' made me smile. There are a surprising number of them.
ReplyDeleteIt must be from 8 years of parochial school, but I love the holy movie stories
DeleteA device for hot flashes? Do tell!
ReplyDeleteI was hoping someone would ask

DeleteSo glad the troubleshooting worked!! I have not been troubled by the flashes... knock on wood.... But please do tell us about it... it will be good to know.. I don't watch old movies often enough... I ihave to be 'in the mood'I don't know if i've seen the ones you speak of... I did like 'Arsenic and Old Lace'...lol Hugs! deb
ReplyDeleteArsenic and Old Lace is a classic
DeleteMonday for the Hot Flash Buster
DeleteYes to Blizzards. Yum.

Yum, indeed
DeleteOcean State Job Lots has the best gardening supplies in my area. As the season goes on they mark things down. I got some giant planting pots for hardly any money a couple of years ago.Keep your eyes open there if you need anything. And is it ever really too cold for ice cream? (Well yes, it can be I guess). Sounds like a good week.Hope its all rain for you tomorrow. The weather folks are saying ice at my house. Not sure that is better or worse than snow.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I just saw that you might be in for 6 inches of snow, too. Fingers crossed it fizzles
DeleteNice to see 'scruffy bunny' ...
ReplyDeleteMy weeks gone well, no scruffy bunnies here but visits from squirrels at what should be bird feeders!
All the best Jan
The squirrels are here too. When I fill the feeders, I throw seed on the ground for the squirrel. It's an Italian thing. Abbondanza! Everybody eats!
DeleteI've heard abut hot flashes, but cold flashes are new to me. Your week was better than mine.
ReplyDeleteJust like hot flashes, some women can be effected by cold flashes. Instead of sweating and stripping off layers, you run for sweaters, blankets, mittens, hats...
DeleteSounds like a good week. You're north of the weather "dividing line" today, that will allow my area to reach almost 80 F. The north east corner of CT will only be about 50 F for the high. For a small state, we sometimes see wild variations within it. :-)
ReplyDeleteThe weather dudette pointed out Summer temps for you area. My eyes turned green. 😺Enjoy the warm and sunshine for me.
DeleteLove seeing your garden wildlife
ReplyDeleteI do too. No bunny today, but the birdfeeders have been very busy

ReplyDeleteSounds like a good week - Blizzards from Dairy Queen - a bunny in the yard and old people discounts, ...i like that one a lot. My week was good - nothing to replace, nothing to shovel, nothing to fling across the room when I can't open anything anymore. Have you noticed how tightly everything you buy whether its in plastic, cans, etc...It's like they make everything hard to open...even Ritz crackers in the sleeves...even...Welches fruit snacks that you would put in a kids lunch...every darn thing you need to either find scissors, an ax ...or ....okay i'm done complaining. But geez. Even my strong husband had to struggle to open a small fruit packet. Have a nice weekend.
Ah, packaging. I have a pair of giant scissors that help, if I remember to put them back in their place after using 😹
