How Does Your Garden Grow?

Spring must be here as a mangy bunny emerged to nibble the grass

Clumps of crocus

that some bunny planted in the grass

are springing up all over

Still no buds on the daffodils

I was hoping I would see signs of the Fern Leaf Bleeding Hearts that Anne Cornucopia had sent me last Fall. The shoots in the left foreground are Narcissus according to Pl@ntNet

More crocus

Annual Weed

Common Blue Violet

  1. Funny. Ingo just took the seeds I got and said, you gotta need to bring these out, soon! Now all I need is fresh earth. Or is it still to early for balcony plants?

    1. I'm not the gardener, but you might be able to put your balcony plants out during the warmish day and bring them in at night?

  4. I always thought Bleeding Hearts were annuals......? That would be fantastic if theres a perennial. Fingers crossed you see signs of life... Its all about the wild purple Verbena around here... even a surprising Blubonnet now and then but honestly i don't expect to see many wildflowers this year.. We haven't seen rain in months.... and MONTHS... Awww cute bunny... At our house in AR we had turtles that would climb up the hill from the lake.. When ever we found one we would write our name on it and see if we would see it again...lol Hugs! deb

    1. This is a different variety called Fern Leaf. Seeds have to be planted the previous year before frost so the seeds can Winter over.

  5. Things are coming on in our garden. I noticed forget-me-nots about to bloom yesterday. They're one of my favourite flowers, easy to grow, spread, flower for a long time and are just so pretty.

  11. Reminds me, that I need to write another garden post, as there are so many things emerging from the ground and growing. Here the miniature daffodils are already out, but the bigger varieties are still hiding. Happy T Day!
