TBT: Reprints from CJ's Whine and Cheeze

In 2003, Ma had a stroke. Dad was her full time caregiver until he he had a car accident that totaled the car. So in 2006, I became their chauffeur among other jobs.

At the time, to deal with the stress of running two households and working, I kept a blog entitled CJ's Whine and Cheeze. Egged on by some friends who enjoyed the first read through, you'll see your part when it comes by.

Code in My Node

It started last night. First a snuffle, then a wheeze then a sneeze. I was tired all day. I felt like my caboose was 2 miles behind. This morning, I was all stuffed up, and my sinuses felt like an elephant was sitting on my face.

Stumbled out of bed and told Himself, "I dink I haf a code."

"That's what you get for sitting in the doctor's waiting room with all the Weebles.

  3. Colds are never fun, especially when you get them after sitting in a doctor's office. Enjoy the sunshine today.

  4. When I used to take my grandmother-- and it seemed like she went to the doctor about 4x a month-- I would sit in the farthest corner, I would be very careful about even touching any of the magazines or counter tops or even the chair handles and I would still get sick.
And please, no mask recommendations, as Johns Hopkins recently reported they don't work.
And I loved the "weebles" nickname!!

    1. Just like the commercial. Weebles wobble, but they don't fall down.

  6. Teddy said he LOVES this post of yours. ;-) I hate when those first signs appear, and you know it means you have a cold, and there is no escaping it. (I'm enjoying these posts from the past.)
