Five good things that happened this week.
1. Had breakfast with 2 of the moms I met when The Young One was in elementary school. We meet up a couple of times a year to catch up.
2. The tornado passed 2 towns away from us.
3. The Leaf Lady put up a nice, new fence.
4. Had an AHA moment how to flourish 2 birds with the same pen
5. Took the car in for a recall service and went to IHOP for breakfast 🥞
How was your week?
Good that you kept in contact with the other moms and that the tornado missed you! Hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteIt's nice when they get together that they call me. And we were so lucky the tornado missed us
DeleteSounds great and there is so much to be thankful for this week! Meeting up with old friends sounds fun and oh, make mine a short stack of pancakes please - I love IHOP ... well you probably guessed that my eyes lit up when you mentioned IHOP and it's a good job I've had my elevesies or I may be heading to the kitchen to make american pancakes...lol 😉. Happy Friday and weekend! J 😊 x
ReplyDeleteI love IHOP too, especially the Brioche French toast.
DeleteThank goodness the tornado missed you! That is a scary thought! Love IHOP, too. French toast is my fav!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your weekend, CJ!
Weather has been wild here the past couple of weeks. That was the 2nd tornado in my area. Tornadoes aren't really a common occurrence here
DeleteWow. Now that my mom has no short term memory I don't hear about these storms the way I used to. Lucky no one was hurt (I had to look it up) and I am glad you didn't get any of the wind. And catching up with old friends is always so much fun. Sounds like a good week. I met up with friends one day too, went to the dentist for a cleaning, ran errands, did a lot of reading on my hammock-savouring the last days of summer break. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteYes, lucky no one was hurt, but a lot of property damage. Maybe it's a blessing you don't hear about these storms otherwise extra worrying about your mother wouldn't be good for you. Reading in the hammock made a good week for you. When do you go back to school?
DeleteWhew! Glad the tornado missed you (and no one was hurt!) :D
ReplyDeleteMe, too!
DeleteAre you sure you didn't channel Kansas with that tornado? They are quite common here, but I've never heard of them back east. So glad you weren't hurt or had any property damage. It's good you had a great week. It was certainly a lot more interesting than mine!
ReplyDeleteUp until now, tornadoes here were pretty rare. The only one people really talked about was the Worcester Tornado in 1953 which had loss of life and property damage. From the New England Historical Society: It officially killed 90 people, unofficially killed 94, injured 1,300 and destroyed 4,000 buildings. More than 10,000 people lost their homes.
DeleteTornado? That is scary! Yeh, for new fence! That is special keeping in touch with those moms!! Take Care CJ!
ReplyDeleteit's nice to keep in touch with the moms. Our girlies are all grown up now. One is getting married in Nov. and I'll be lettering the seating cards.
DeleteThat is special!
