T Stands for The Chocolate Kingdom

After wandering through the shops at Volant Mills, we headed back to the Eldest's home with a side trip to  Daffin's Candies to see the

From their website: "Where chocolate reigns supreme.
Unbelievable sights await you as you visit our fantasyland of chocolate characters.

This unique one of a kind attraction includes a 400 pound chocolate turtle, a 125 pound chocolate reindeer, and a 75 pound chocolate frog.

The kingdom also includes chocolate castles, a train, a village, and a Ferris wheel that will fascinate and delight all who enter."

You stood in front of the picket fence and gazed at all the chocolate creations.

Delectable samples were offered. It would have been impolite to say, "No, thank you."

The frog needs a crown

Words to live by: Chocolate: A balanced diet is a chocolate in both hands.

In case you missed the drink reference of the little chocolatier pouring in the milk, here's a better tea reference.  In July to celebrate the 5th anniversary of T Day, some of us opted to send and receive an ATC (artist trading card. 2.5 in x 3.5 in) Our hosts, Bleubeard and Elizabeth paired up participants. My swap partner was Eileen from The Artful Crafter. Eileen's ATC arrived with some chile pepper, sparkly confetti. Inside, the ATC she made using a tea cup stencil, some washi tape attached to the tea cup stencil she used. And a little poem she composed:

"Every Tuesday we gather for tea,
Bleubeard, Elizabeth, the whole gang and me.

Sharing our lives, our talents, our tips
With tea cups and glasses pressed to our lips.

Across the oceans, across the miles
We gather to bring each other some smiles.

And the ATCs I sent to Eileen (left) and Bleubeard and Elizabeth (right)

Drop by hosts, Bleubeard and Elizabeth's blog to find out what the rest of the T Stands For gang is up to. If you want to play, include in your Tuesday post a beverage or container for a beverage. Don't forget to link your blog to Bleubeard and Elizabeth's page.

  1. That chocolate store has a fantastic name. I want to live in a chocolate kingdom, especially if I could avoid the calories. :) Nice package from Eileen too. Hope all this rain doesn't wash you away. Happy T day. Hugs-Erika

  11. "It would have been impolite to say, No, thank you." That's exactly what I told my mother when she caught me with a fudgsicle when I was 8!! It didn't work...... :( I bet the smell in the Chocolate Kingdom was heavenly!

  12. I wonder how they keep those huge chocolate sculptures from turning white, cracking or melting, CJ. I love the rhino - lol. I enjoyed the photo tour.

Awww, you shared my little ditty about our T-group. Thank you ;-)

    Happy T-day! Hugs, Eileen

    1. The factory area where the Chocolate Kingdom is located is climate controlled. Lights are only turned on when visitors are taking a gander. Your poem was too cute not to share.

  13. I love the seeing all the pictures from chocolate kingdom. This reminds me of our honeymoon cruise. They had a chocolate buffet with beautiful sculptures. And everything was edible.
    Some very beautiful atc's.
    Happy Tea Day,
    Kate

  14. You had me at chocolate. I love it...it doesn't love me though. Milk chocolate gives me acne which is really lame when you are pushing 50 and dark chocolate makes me sneeze.
    Happy T day!

  15. I'm finally back online. I'm sorry I wasn't here sooner, because I take my hosting duties seriously. What a wonderful experience, CJ. I would love to go there. Yes, I saw the little boy pouring the milk, but I also enjoyed the ATC Eileen sent you. I'm STILL picking up those little jalapeños.

I loved the rhino the mist. I saw everything except the ferris wheel, but a carousel caught my eye. Thanks for taking us to The Chocolate Kingdom for T this Tuesday.

    1. Always glad to have you visit whenever you are able to drop by. The Ferris wheel can be seen in the 2nd picture. It's the prominent thing in the center of the photo. It's holding colorful bags of chocolate candies. A close-up of it can be seen in the 5th picture.
