The Friday Five Good Things

Five good things that happened this week.

1. My (3rd) cousin sent me picture of his grandmother (my first cousin 2x removed) and pictures of members of his family

2. My (3rd) cousin's daughter (3rd cousin 1x removed) came to visit for coffee and..

3. The basement repair was completed and the ventilation system installed.

4. I saw Timex the chipmunk (or one of his descendants) foraging by the honeysuckle vine.

5.Last class for the Winter term, and I had to pass out the student evaluation forms. One of my students who has taken several classes with me  said he's running out of superlatives to describe me. I said write down that I walk on water. And I think he did! 😸

How was your week?

  2. Very good week you had, CJ! It is always great to see the first signs of spring finally arriving. Aside from a bit of rain so far, it has here!

"... walk on water" ... LOL! Great post!

    1. Hopefully, with the warm temps this week, the last of the snow pack will melt and more signs of Spring will be visible

  3. You did have a good week. I had a little excitement when I got one of those ancestry emails saying there was some new clues in my family tree and found out a distant cousin had posted 2 photos, one with my grandmother in it and the other of my great grandfather (who I had no idea what he looked like). Low and behold they are part of a book about Polish immigrants in Worcester County. Of course I had to order that. Smile. Hope your weekend is as good as your week sounds. Hugs-Erika

  6. When a student says that, you know you made a difference in his life. Huzzah!

Today we went to 7th gr. gr-daughter's talent show. She is an Irish dancer and performed beautifully. That makes us smile and feel our hearts swell with joy.

    1. I only caught a glimpse of the chippie one time. Still some snow on the ground so I wouldn't blame him for not wanting to venture out just yet

  8. Superlatives are always welcome. Sounds like you truly DO walk on water. Such a grand and valuable compliment by your student. Most impressive week you had, too. Mine? Not so much. Playing catch up, which I can't seem to do!

  9. Sounds like a wonderful week! So nice to be appreciated by your students too, well done - yay 😁. It's been sunny here so I've been gardening and as it's my birthday next week, my hubby treated me to a day out in Garstang and lunch at one of my favourite pubs 😉. Happy weekend! J 😊 x
