The Friday Five Good Things

Five good things that happened this week.

1. Attended the Masscribes (calligraphy guild) Annual Brunch with Nan.

2. My grand niece, Baby G turned one year old. She really enjoyed her birthday party

3. Divers and Sundry frequently features the number 42 on her blog. 42 is the answer to the great question of  life, the universe, and everything. According to The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. I've been looking and looking and  finally found a 42. The outside temperature projected on the ceiling by the clock on the nightstand. Found another one on the car thermometer but forgot to take a picture

4.  Had breakfast with two friends I made when the Young One was in elementary school.

5. Attended the WAM Student Art Show

How was your week?

  1. Nice week. Mine was busy wrapping everything up for next week's vacation. Kids have been antsy. I am tired this morning. But it is Friday and the weekend is almost here. No complaints though, I am just telling what it is. Happy Friday and happy Easter weekend. Hugs-Erika

    1. Just a few more hours and you'll have a whole week off to relax and art. And then how quickly the rest of the school year will fly by

May I feature your 42 in my next post, pretty please? :) I featured Elizabeth's popcorn photo without even asking, but I'm doing better from now on :)

  6. I think you stalked the temperature until it turned 42!! Just joking. I think it's a clever idea to find as many 42s as possible. I know Divers and Sundry always appreciates it.

I wanted to tell you my friend Sally is in the hospital in Massachusetts. She called yesterday when I was in the middle of my personal crisis and told me. She said her friend who she stays with when she travels took her to an Urgent Care clinic, but they wouldn't take her because she wasn't a resident of the state. Is that normal? He then took her to an ER and they immediately diagnosed her with pneumonia and put her in the hospital. I've heard of Urgent Care facilities, but NOT you have to be a resident of that state in order to be seen by a doctor. Just curious. OBVIOUSLY, you should leave any response on YOUR blog, since mine is no longer working (at least not for me).

    1. Urgent cares are rather new so I'm not sure. I think it might have to do with health insurance. Many providers belong to a group so if you're not part of that group it's a no go. Always go to an ER by law, whether you have insurance or not, they have to treat you and cannot deny service

    2. And technically the temperature was 41.7 but the projection display doesn't show the decimal so it rounded up!

    3. I'm so sorry to hear about Sally :( I hope she's on the road to a complete recovery by now.

  8. wow, so you finally saw 42. I have certain numbers that come up often. I first noticed "747" years ago seemed to be whenever I would look at the clock and then it showed up in other ways. Then when I got a cell phone which number I don't have any more...my number came in as 272 7477. That sealed the deal for me - I knew then that I would fly in a 747, lol...which I did....but aside from that i'm always aware when that number comes to me. sounds like you had a good week. mine was full of walking or hiking - so it was definitely good.

    1. Himself and I both see a certain number on clocks. His is 11:11 and mine is 08:18 which happens to be our anniversary. It was fun to finally see a 42
