New Stamps

The USPS just issued the new Bugs Bunny stamp. Ten different portraits of the iconic trouble maker.

I learned classical music from the Warner Bros. cartoons. This vignette of Bugs as Brünnhilde, the Valkyrie from Wagner's opera, Der Ring des Nibelungen, is one of my favorites from the cartoon

What's Opera Doc.

I also bought the bubbly Celebrate stamps because I was taken with recent happy mail I received from Nan and her use of the stamp

Since I was buying stamps, I bought the Christmas Carol stamps, too, as I'm working on my Christmas card design.

And yes, Virginia, there are a select few who still buy postage stamps and send letters through the mail.

    1. CJ hears stirring, heroic music as she tries on the cape and assumes a Super Hero pose. Thanks, Robin!

  3. My Bugs Bunny and Suffragette stamps arrived the other day! Those Christmas stamps are beautiful. :) Choosing stamps for letters can become difficult when you love them all.

  5. the bugs stamps are awesome !! I liked the way bugs "evolved" over the years; like the mouse; mickey. I prefer newer bugs to older bugs, but liked the steamboat willie mickey far better than the latter !! ☺☺♥♥

    1. Ask at the counter for the brochure of stamps for the year. You'll see the stamps and release dates.

  8. You are the master of finding new postage stamps. Bugs is SO cute. These new Celebrate are OK. The black background ones were better, I think, but they both pale in comparison to the Happy Birthday stamps they replaced. I see the 4 Christmas goodies set is back again. I still have one set of four (cancelled) a friend used on a package she sent me two years ago.

    1. You can go online to USPS.com find the stamps link and you can see what stamps are for sale as well as pre-order stamps. The Women's Suffrager stamp is out and a cute Teddy in a Christmas stocking will be coming out for the holidays. I was hoping they would have the Winter birds and cardinals. I wish I had bought more of those.
