How Does Your Garden Grow?

So, new Blogger seems to upload/display multiple photos in reverse order. So my garden in reverse order. The new garden flag for September. Which looks similar to the garden flag from November. What can I say, I love cardinals.

We got a little bit of rain, about a 1/3 of an inch.

The rain helped the morning glories out front perk up.

Mums waiting to be planted.

The hydrangea didn't seem to be effected by the drought.

Signs of Fall 😿

Morning Gloomies that look like they belong to Morticia Addams

Up near the woods, the plant identifier called these pretty flowers Jewelweed

Fallen yellow leaves 😿

from Himself's twig identified as a White Ash.

Goldenrod so heavy it can't stand up

The morning glories in the pots revived.

Not so with the morning glories in Ink's garden. The drought has taken its toll.

I finally got this pot uprighted again. I wonder how long it will remain standing?

How does your garden grow?

  1. Love your fall cardinal flag...and the goldenrods are amazing. I will have to try some next year. They make a great cut flower.

  3. My poor hydrangea still hasn't bloomed *sigh* I think the old wood gets killed by late frosts.

Love that cardinal! What a bright spot! And the Morticia reference. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, after all ;) I'd love some goldenrod to seed itself on my little patio lol It makes a wonderful fall addition :)

  4. I enjoyed seeing your garden when I see beautiful goldenrod like that I want to put it in the dye pot haha I read can use in soaps too but the color is touchy to keep yellow so not thinking it would work easily in soaps.

    1. You would think with the deep yellow color you would get a brilliant yellow from the goldenrod

    2. You can and I have on wool yarn but I discovered there it is touchy-all the books I have said to let sit in the dye bath so two years in a row I did that and it would turn to a soft brown so the third year as soon as I saw the color yellow I wanted I took it out of the dye bath right then and let cool in a strainer-finally accomplished it haha

  8. I am using my neighbor Sally's computer, so I must keep this brief. My internet appears to be fine, but my power supply cord has gone bad, at least that is what my computer guru friend Scott thinks. He will try to get a new one for me in town on Monday. If not, he will buy one at Amazon.

Some of your plants look like mine. Much of my garden is stressed and dying. Yours are all looking much better than mine. LOVE that new banner.
