The Friday Five Good Things

Five good things that happened this week.

1. So nice in the sun room, I worked on the title page for my workshop journal

2. Errands and breakfast at IHOP

3. A visit to the cemetery and breakfast at  Cracker Barrel

4. I bought a toaster that just toasts bread and doesn't need to connect to an app to go to the moon.

5. Emailed vacation plans with the Eldest.

How was your week?

  1. That sounds like a good week. I need a real toaster too. Nothing makes better toast, so enjoy yours! And it's exciting to hear about people's vacation plans. No plans here until November, so I hope we get to see some photos of your vacation when it comes around. Have a great Friday and stay dry. It looks like a wet few days. :( hugs-Erika

    1. The cog is clipart that I printed and cut out. 😺 Part of the journaling workshops was using printed material.

    1. Yup, you don't have to do any pre-flight checks to make toast. Pop in the bread, push the lever down. Wait a minute or two. Bread pops up transformed into toast!

  8. I agree with you CJ... i like my appliances simple... I can do without all the bells and whistles....

    1. the house being built is moving along..sheetrock and rock on the outside going in this week...

    2. hubby has found some golf friends to chases that little white ball around... not my idea of fun...

    3. I've managed to miss in a slow jog with my walks..

    4. premature granddaughter has managed to roll over...

5.Getting up early to walk this summer finally feels normal... I'm usually a night owl that likes to sleep late.. but with these Summer temps in TX i need to get out there early...

Big hugs to you CJ! I've had breakfast at IHOP this week too...!! deb

  10. I love the S (swan) and the cog (O) on the workshop title page.

I have a toaster that does nothing but toast. It's a 2 slice toaster, too. I have a stove that does nothing but heat up, and I have a fridge that makes funny noises that means I will need to replace it soon. Nice to see you actually went low tech when it comes to toast. I know you love your toys.

    1. The cog was cut from clipart that I printed out. I would have gone for a fancier toaster if it was small, but didn't have such a huge sticker price.

  11. ...curious about your vacation plans. I wish I could take one soon. At least go up to the coast in central california to visit my sister. It's been since november 2019 that i've gone anywhere.

    1. Plans are to visit the Eldest in PA. If her and our work schedules coincide. The big attraction will be to visit a park she likes on Lake Erie. I've never seen any of the Great Lakes
