How Does Your Garden Grow?

Short and sweet this week and in reverse order.

Brilliant blue skies and leaf color

After months of the rain gauge not communicating with the weather station, it's magically working. Also I forgot to notice at the Autumnal Equinox that the tree on the weather station changed to yellow-green from green.

Some bunny had an itch behind the ear

Early morning skies. My late father-in-law would have called this color Sky Blue Pink

Unusually warm and wet weather, the morning glories re-seeded themselves and are making an appearance.

Inside porch decorations though the Witch with her sign, "Yes, I can drive a stick." and the Ink o'lantern and

this sign, stay up year round.

  1. Your color is similar to ours. Just really getting started, but I bet might be nice by next weekend. Happy Sunday!

    1. You might be right. I noticed more yellows in the woods behind the house this morning.

  2. Our temps in the middle of this "cold snap" are about 10 degrees warmer than yours lol! I like the seasonal door decoration with the sunflowers. Nice!

  4. We've had grey clouds these past few days and a lot of rain, so it was very nice to see your first photograph, the blue skies and leaf colour look lovely.

I also like the description of a 'Sky Blue Pink' colour :)

    All the best Jan

    1. Well, we're in for three days of rain so that's all the blue skies and leaf color we'll see for a bit.

  5. well, i just bought a new plant marked down to 5.99 at a local nursery . It's a succulant indoor plant Calathia I believe and it's a beauty. Now I just hope I can nurture it the way it should be. Other than that... A few decorations put up. I like your fall decor.

    1. Cool bargain! I had to look up the plant as I have never heard of it. Pretty with the variegated leaves. I hope yours does well.

    2. Found out too late after I bought it, it needs 6 to 8 hours of sunlight a day and I have no idea how it's going to do in winter here at night. The house gets so cold and we don't run heat during the night and we only get about 3 hours of direct sunlight that comes into the house. I will just talk loving thoughts to her every day and tell her she can do it - she can make it. she's a beauty.

    3. I wonder if you could cover it loosely at night with a plastic bag? I'm not a gardener, but when we are close to having frost, but not a killing frost, the weather dudes will tell gardeners they might want to cover their plants.

  6. Our temps have finally cooled from the 90s F to the 80s. I'll be SO happy when it actually feels like autumn here. I like how your trees are starting to turn and I love the sky blue pink sky shot. As always, I love your fall decorations. You always show the best door shots around.

    1. I'd rather have your temps. We're in the 50s with rain, rain, and more rain that we don't need.

    1. Nice to still have warm weather. Soon we'll be whining (winging) about the cold and snow. Or is that just me?
