Lower stairs installed. Path centered and leveled with crushed stone. Waiting for the mason to arrive and set the pavers.
The old footing still needs to be removed.
Normal temperatures for this time of year. Brrrr, too chilly for me, but a bonus of three 42s!
The granite steps waiting for their wrought iron rails.
Dedo at his new guard station.
The walk, loam, and grass seed
The Japanese maple turning color and a rainbow
Still Spring at the mailbox
A blustery day and one of the panels blew out from the greenhouse. This doesn't bode well for surviving the Winter.
Little, green peppers
Milkweed seeds waiting for the winds to send them onto their next adventure
A morning glory blooms in the grass
Trees in the woods turning yellow and orange
Lots of acorns in the grass
I almost forgot about the October Welcome mat.
50 shades of grey in a simple 3 block pattern.
Flamingo races. Bones holding the pole position while Skelly comes up fast on the inside. Wait. Something isn't right. It looks like Skelly got thrown. Let's see that from another angle.
Yup, he's down and sitting on his laurels.
Too bad.
It's all looking good. And like lots of hard work! I found a 42 , too, must remember to post it! Have a great day, Valerie
ReplyDeleteThe construction company did a great job.
DeleteWow, this all turned out great! And the cat, awww, "welcome"!
ReplyDeleteYup, crazy cat lady. Welcome!
DeleteOK, so if you are at times slack like me and don´t go back to comments... I comment here as well, because.... Huuuuuuu
ReplyDelete"NO... NONONO, this is spooky!
On TV the Sunday fairy tale is on and it´s Hansel & Gretel and they try to find home leaving breadcrumbs!
Do you watch KIKA right now?!!"
I'm psychic๐ KIKA? Never heard of it. Not much of a psychic, am I? ๐
DeleteDon't blame Skelly....it's difficult to ride a flamingo! ;)
ReplyDelete(The new walk and stairs look awesome!)
Flaming riding is difficult and you know this from personal experience?๐
DeleteI know you might miss the brick -I mean, the brick was cool- but I love this. They did a great job, too.
ReplyDeleteYour woodland view is such a delight in any season. I could sit there and enjoy that for hours on end.
I like the old-fashioned look of brick. This walk is neat and will outlast us. It's a pretty area. Quiet. Rural. Lots of farms around. I like the slow pace and outside the window there is always a bird, chipmunk, squirrel or rabbit to watch. Calli and Quill are enjoying the views.
DeleteThe walk way looks great. They did a super job, and this is much more updated! And I hope the greenhouse can be winterized. I'd hate to see you lose it in a deep snow. Your house/yard is looking amazing CJ. Happy Sunday. Its a cold wind here today.
ReplyDeleteAmazing? I wouldn't go so far to say that. The yard has a very, natural look and needs some heavy duty landscaping. So it doesn't look all weeds.
DeleteI am a big fan of bricks, but I actually LOVE these gray pavers. They really look fabulous.
ReplyDeleteSorry CJ. It was 78 F here today. And we even got a little rain last night to cool things off a bit.
The new pavers have nice clean lines. 78? My eyes just turned green.
DeleteToday the temp is much to my liking: 56 F on my outdoor thermometer earlier today.
DeleteA little cooler today at 50 with rain and a larger storm on the way Tues into Wed
DeleteLooking Good , Looking Real Good - And Hope Those Worker Bees Got A Kick Out Of The Skeletal Supervisors - Happy Monday
ReplyDeleteCheers
The flamingo race went up after they completed the job I didn’t want my silly humor to get in the way
Deletevery nicely done....984 paws UP to the workers :) ♥♥
ReplyDeleteI know ink and his welcome mat are happy too !!!
