The Friday Five Good Things

Five good things that happened this week.

1. Purchased granite and pavers for new outside steps and walk

2. Chinese food take-out lunch

3. New pillow arrived. So far no more neck and shoulder pain when I wake up

4. A day of tests at the eye doctor, looking at storm doors, and out to lunch

5. The contractor texted me to see if we could begin work on the new stairs and work earlier than expected. Yes, please!

How was your week?

    1. Things just fell into place with this one. Part of the granite was supposed to be in next week, but came in early. A job for the contractor's mason was cancelled so he called to ask if they could start the job earlier. Yes, please!

  3. How nice that all those plans came together earlier than expected. That seldom works with construction. You must surely be blessed. I hope the eye tests were positive (or good, if negative is what you are wanting).

    1. Worked out that the contractor had a cancellation or materials didn't come in on the other job, and he wanted to keep his guys working.

    1. The Chinese restaurant that we liked to go to had closed (long before Covid) so we haven't had Chinese food in a very long time. We were running errands near where my brother lives so I asked him where he went for Chinese food. So good!

  6. Sounds great - thought you were the one doing the stairs... oh, such great memories of renovating with my Bro! (Do memories count? It was but three places, but big projects :-)...)

    1. We did the walkway when we first moved into the dollhouse 35 years ago. It was our first joint DIY project. But now, some work is beyond us.

    1. I'm like the Princess and the Pea when it comes to mattresses and pillows. I'm not in love with this latest pillow, but I'm not waking up with aches and pains or feeling so hot on my face.
