One of the things the Eldest loves is coffee. Well, not just any coffee, but flavored, foo-foo coffees from Starbucks. We call these beverages La-di-dahs. There isn't a Starbucks where the Eldest lives, but there is one two miles away from my house.
Santa brought both girlies Starbucks gift cards. After the Young One gets out of work, we'll go for La-di-dahs. The Eldest likes the raspberry chocolate coffee. I usually get a Chai Latte, and the Young One will get a Chai Latte or a hot chocolate.

That sounds like a fun outing. I always get a chai latte if I go to Starbucks, which isn't very often. I heard they have good coco too. Have fun CJ.

DeleteI'm not a fan of Starbucks coffees (I drink tea when I go there), but I do like the froofroo coffees. Raspberry chocolate sounds like a real treat. Snickerdoodle is my favorite of the flavored coffees. Or maybe orange?
ReplyDeleteShe gets the Mocha Coffee Latte and then has them add the raspberry syrup. Her cousin got her addicted to them while she was in college. There was a Starbucks near the school and the barista aka Coffee Boy used to give her extra raspberry shots. 😺

Enjoy using La-di-dah. Raspberry chocolate at Starbucks: order the Mocha Coffee Latte and have the barista add 3 or 4 shots of raspberry syrup. I hope you feel better soon.
DeleteI'm a French roast gal, and their French roast coffee will put hair on your chest. I love it, but I can't afford them when I can buy 2 1/2 lbs of beans for the same price as three Starbucks coffees!!
ReplyDeleteYou and the girls will have fun, though, and you will have a good time. I think that is what makes it fun, even more so than the drink itself. I don't have a single person, except Scott to drink coffee with, so we drink at my house! Nice Christmas gift, CJ.
We did a buy and fly and took the beverages home. I don't drink coffee, but most coffee shops have non-coffee beverages like tea, hot chocolate, soft drinks, and water. As you pointed out, it isn't the beverage but the company that makes it fun.
