The Friday Five Good Things

Five good things that happened this week.

1. The Young One and I had fun at my niece's bridal shower. Mimosas, games, and catching up with family.

2. Himself and I ran an errand and then stopped at Harry's for lunch. First fried clams of the season.

3. The Eldest texted us. She was excited because she "did a thing." The lab tech who can't stand to have her own blood drawn, donated blood.

4. Harry's leftovers and no cooking.

5. Another 3 boxes off to Savers for donation.

How was your week?

  1. Sounds good! My week was as usual, one meal out and a few meets ups with friends. Happy Friday, Valerie

  2. I took 3 bags of donations to Goodwill this week just as you took 3 boxes. More to go, hopefully for me at least. Hurrah for cleaning up. And congrats to your daughter for being brave and donating blood. That is exciting. My daughter couldn't do that. She would probably pass out as she does just giving a vial of blood. You had a good week. Me too. But not back into the new art space yet. Smile. Hugs-Erika

    1. The Eldest fainted a few times having her blood drawn. Maybe drawing blood and working with it, immuned her from the fear of having her blood drawn.

  6. You always find a way to avoid cooking at least once a week. Glad you took items to the local charity shop. You had a much better week than I had. I'm running behind because I keep losing electricity.

    1. With no electricity you can't cook, either. 😉

    2. No, but I have a manual can opener and can open a can of tuna and make a sandwich. I would add lettuce and sweet relish, but I was trying to keep from opening the fridge.

  8. This just has to stop - this Friday thing - wow, it comes every three days - ... I only know it's Friday coming up again when on Thursday Mike says, do you have any trash that needs to go out....Literally - time has to slow down. i was feeling sorry for myself thinking I don't get to have fun with my grandkids anymore and then i finally got the message - they are teenagers...and I had so much wonderful times when they were young but it went so quick. Raising my kids the time dragged...oh...wow..did it. and grandkids - the time flew - enough complaining... sounds like a good week for yoiu.
