Five good things that happened this week.
1. Mailed Christmas cards, received Christmas cards in the PO Box, We braved the zoo at the mall to pick the Young One up from work, get the Target curbside order, and take out from Red Robin
2. Christmas Day. Low key and quiet. Texted with the Eldest
3. Had a nice text convo with Teague.
4. A police officer came to the door to warn us of a scam going around town. People calling saying some relative is in jail and needs bond money. They come to the door to collect it. Sadly an elderly neighbor down the street was scammed a large sum of money. A reminder the police will never go to your house to collect bond money.
5. Calli sat with me in the rocking chair, and we had a good, long rock and a cuddle

My mom was approached with that scam once. Luckily she had the smarts to question them so much they hung up. But I think it's great the police came to tell you about it. It sounds like you had a nice holiday week.And good you are feeling better too. I hope you got to enjoy yesterday-it felt like March! hugs-Erika
Was inside all day. I didn't even go out to get the mail.
Wow on that police officer! Here it´s only in the news and when you miss them....

Your week sounds very good! Yes, those scammers PREY especially on the elderly. So sickening! They try those same scams EVERYHERE unfortunately. There was also an IRS scam as well a few years back. They send fake emails from Amazon, PayPal, etc. Honestly, I have been watching "Scammer Payback" videos on YouTube a lot - well worth checking out and learning how these criminals steal from people.

My poor dad got a call in the dead of night. Someone claiming to be his grandson and stuck in jail in Toronto. They wanted a credit card and fortunately, Dad didn't have one. I took forever for me , my brother, and the grandson to convince Dad it was all a very bad joke. Poor old dude

Even still feeling a bit off from this damn cold, it was a pretty good week.
It's a shame the scam artists never get caught and money lost to these is lost forever :(

A scammer called me that I had won a free trip on a cruise, but I had to send $200 to cover fees. I hung up when I heard it would cost even a penny!
I took Sally to lunch yesterday at a favorite restaurant, It was a zoo, too, so we opted for carry out. It was more fun relaxing at home, talking for hours, and no rush to eat fast and leave.

We did Chinese food take-out on Friday. We figured it would be a circus trying to get an order with the popularity of Chinese food for New Year's Eve. Since we would have ordered early and heated it up, no big deal to get it a day ahead. Now we're all set for NYE with our leftovers.
