I'm celebrating the Winter Solstice. Halfway out of the dark. 182 days until the Summer Solstice.

  1. Up early for a doctor visit with hubby's hand.. uuugh.. he insists on making early appts.. We'll also be doing the things we need to do to prepare for a streak of bitter cold (for here) days... 10F tomorrow night.. brrrr.. Lets hope TX keeps the lights and HEAT burning.. Happy Solstice CJ!   2. Today I am home trying to check some things off my to do list. Nothing too big, just little things. Happy start of winter to you. Just think, tomorrow the days start getting longer. hugs-Erika

  4. Celebrating! :) For me this is the day at the heart of winter and the time of turning around to longer days.

    And I'm keeping an eye on the weird weather. They're saying we may get a Wind Chill Warning tomorrow, and that's something that's _never_ happened here.

  7. I had to laugh at Deb's comment. I would LOVE 10 degrees F. Last night it was -2 F with wind chills at -45 F. And we got SNOW, too!

    I celebrated the Winter Solstice by staying up all night. The shortest day of the year and the LONGEST night indeed! Stay warm dear CJ.
