How Does Your Garden Grow?

Harvey is showing a pink tree so Spring has arrived.

Timex (chipmunk) has been busy digging holes

The first robin so it's official. Spring has arrived

Christmas bulb lights moved to the daffodil patch double as Easter egg lights.

One day nothing in the daffodil patch and now lots of leaves with buds

Some crocus popped up as if by magic, too

Even outside the bed where they were planted.

And most exciting. I think these leaves are the Fern Bleeding Hearts that Anne from Anne's Crative Cornucopia sent me that I sprinkled on the ground in the Fall.

How does your garden grow?

  2. I've seen robins although not in my yard. But just done the road where there is more melt, so hopefully they'll be here soon. We only had a light dusting yesterday and then it turned to rain and sleet. Hurrah for a dusting that will most likely be gone by lunch time. I love your idea of using Christmas lights as Easter egg lights. That is quite clever.

  3. Not very well i'm afraid... I'm busy pulling and killing weeds!! However I'am leaving the wild purple verbena.. I have for two years now and its really paying off.. My back yard especially is awash in purple! Love your daffodils and crocus.. crossing my fingers that that is a bleeding heart! I have an eye out for some SunFlowers popping through, big heart shaped leaves .. easy to spot but i don't see any yet.. Hugs! deb

    1. I have the sunflower seeds you sent waiting to be planted. Still too early to plant as we can still get a frost until the middle of May

  4. I've moved my indoor potted plants out onto the patio, as all chance of a late frost is gone. The wild violets are blooming. The mockingbird and wren pairs are gathering nesting material but taking it elsewhere. High today in the 70s.

    1. That's because the birds are looking for the pink dogwood your neighbor chopped down.

    2. So sad :( I hope my little redbud tree -the one in a pot- grows quickly.

  6. My flower beds are coming alive too! Love the Christmas light idea. I had to look closely. At first I thought they were actual tulips in Christmas colors!

  8. You must be excited to see blooms. And i looked up Fern Bleeding Hearts - beautiful. Nice that you sprinkled some around. I saw a daffodil plant today - not in the ground because way too much snow aroun here but in a pot near Ace Lumbar. I stopped to take a pic - it was so special lol...

    1. Hopefully, your storms stop and you get some melting, not too fast to cause flooding.
