How Does Your Garden Grow?

Heavy rains the week before knocked the hose out of the rain barrel.

The elbow was facing up when the hose got knocked out. A slight adjustment with the elbow down made collecting the water right as rain.

Petunias

Clematis flowers the size of dinner plates

Petunias for the mailman

The hydrangea has new growth. The deadwood needs to be trimmed away

I asked Quill to smile

Alpine bells among the ferns

The snowball bushes look more like flurries

What is it? It's pink.

How does your garden grow?

  1. The flowers are looking fantastic, and glad you got the rain barrel drain fixed again. I watched a NOVA (science show on PBS) about cats a couple of weeks ago and it said they are lacking some facial muscles which is why they can't do facial expressions like dogs. But they certainly have more muscle elsewhere with all the twists and turns they can do with their bodies . Evolution is fascinating! Enjoy your day! hugs-Erika

    1. Maybe it's something cats grow out of. When Quill was a kitten, he could smile.

  5. Looks like a dahlia to me. Or, as you would say, "dah-lee-ah". Hugs, Kaz

  6. Beautiful! I had a clematis once, but it didn't overwinter. I should try it again. My hydrangea is a little further along than yours. I'm happy every year it comes back :)

    Cat pose :)

    1. We had clematis planted by the lamppost, but it never survived the Winter. Himself planted the clematis in a pot and then wrapped it and put it in the greenhouse for the Winter. Quill loves to pose for pictures

  7. Nice save on the rain barrel. Your flowers are looking really great. Nice you planted petunias for the mailman.

My cats have facial expressions, but I wouldn't call them smiles. They sure let me know when they are displeased, though.
