The Friday Five Good Things

Five good things that happened this week.

1. Teague and I went to see Robert Redford's swan song (maybe not) movie, The Old Man and the Gun

2. Found tapioca flour at the grocery store so I can adapt a family recipe.

3. The Young One and I went to vote. The parking lot at the fire station where we vote was full. I managed to get a parking space. We thought we would have a long wait, but the line moved quickly.

4. Since I don't have Starz, Red invited me to her house to watch the new season of Outlander

5. Christmas shopping is all done.

How was your week?

  1. Wow. Christmas shopping is all done. I AM impressed! ANd how was the movie? My week has been busy with work and allergist appointment. Glad its almost the weekend so I don't have to get up so early in the morning. :) Enjoy your weekend CJ. Hugs-Erika

    1. The movie was ok, but it was Redford. It won't be a movie I'd watch over and over.

    1. Yup, done. Other than small things for Himself and the girlies. As I said, the movie was ok. A serious story told in a fun way. A few homages to Redford and a couple of his early movies. A good way to spend a rainy afternoon, but not a movie that I would watch over and over again even though Redford is in it.

  3. Those are certainly 5 good things :) Finishing Christmas shopping before Thanksgiving is something to be happy about. Our week has been filled with weather shock lol having to bring plants in because of a predicted low of 29.

  4. How in the world have you managed to get your Christmas shopping finished already? Good for you. You have impressed me.

I voted early, so there was no waiting at all. I didn't want to wait for voting day because I knew it would be a zoo. So much red tape where we vote in KS.

    1. Usually I stress about gifts to extended family. What can I make? Will they like it? Be underwhelmed? So I came across a cool idea (I thought it was cool) and wham! Done! If it's underwhelming, at least it's a good cause.

  5. I forgot to mention in reference to your comment that rooms with temporary exhibits had no seating, but all permanent collection rooms DID have benches or couches to sit on. By the time we got to the constellation exhibit all I wanted to do was sit.

    1. I see. Come to think of it, my WAM doesn't have seating in temporary exhibits, either.
