Five good things that happened this week.
1. Since we moved the television from the sunroom into the bedroom, and no sports team was playing a night game on Sunday, Himself joined me to watch Doctor Who while Skyping with The Eldest
2. The new garage door was installed. No more broken backs trying to lift the door. And it has an automatic opener.
3. My cousin called. We missed our annual lunch as she's been having some health issues. Was nice to catch up.
4. Saw a flock of geese cutting a V through the sky.
5. The new socks I ordered don't bind and are so warm. They will come in handy while shoveling snow. Himself asked me to order some for him, too. 30 below socks from Vermont Country Store
How was your week?
My yfave today has to be those warm, red socks! Have a great weekend, Valerie
ReplyDeletePerfect for the cold, wintry weather today
DeleteI left the house with snow flying and still accumulating. According to the hubby we had an inch more in the half hour since I had left. Ugh. Just too early. But you sounds like you had a super week. Nice to watch tv in bed during the cold weather. (smile) and I like those socks. I got a Vermont Country store catalog just yesterday. I need to look for those socks. :) Stay dry today!
ReplyDeleteThe snow turned over to rain. Too bad it's turning the snow into slush instead of washing it away. I agree, way too early for this. You be careful on the roads on the way home.
DeleteCool socks, should keep your toes really cozy warm this winter.
ReplyDeleteI have also seen the geese in V formation flying south for winter just this past week. Looks like they have the right idea! lol!
Have a great weekend!!
Maybe we should take a lesson from the geese.
DeleteWe have to wait for Doctor Who DVDs, but I'm hearing good things about the new Doctor. I've had to open and close my garage door by hand before and had to get someone taller/stronger to do it. The automatic garage door opener is a wonderful invention! Our geese stay here all year, but sometimes we see them in their V-shape in the sky. We think they're moving from one park with a lake to a different park with a lake lol I'd forgotten all about the Vermont Country Store! Thanks for the reminder; I think I'll take a look at their website. I'm in need of a couple of stocking stuffers, and I can't think of anything. :)
ReplyDeleteJodie Whitaker is doing a fine job as The Doctor. You used to be able to watch the series, as well as a bunch of popular shows, at Couchtuner, but it doesn't seem to be working anymore. The Vermont Country Store has lots of fun stuff.
DeleteNothing better on a cold wintery night than toasty toes! Enjoy those socks! :D
ReplyDeleteThe socks rocked while I was out shoveling the driveway
DeleteI like your Friday Five good things.
ReplyDeleteMy week has gone well. I saw the grandchildren yesterday and helped them make some Christmas Cards - I enjoyed that.
Wishing you a good weekend.
All the best Jan
I bet the kidlets enjoyed making cards with you, too.
DeleteThe socks look nice and cozy! That is so nice that all of you were skyping!
ReplyDeleteThe socks are the best. And I love the new technology because you can't get this generation to pick up a phone and make a call. :-D
