How Does Your Garden Grow?

Brrrrr.

A new, garden flag warmly welcomes visitors

Frost on the cars

High winds knocked over the post lantern.

Ice in the birdbath

Beautiful striations in the icy puddle.

Sunrise and no snow. No complaints here.

No birds or critters at the feeder.

Frost and ice in puddles on the street, but liquid jewels on the branches of the tree.

An odd sight. Either the wind blew a good size rock into the middle of the bush or the bush is growing around a good size rock.

How does your garden grow?

  1. Looks like winter. You are lucky not to have the ice and the dusting of snow. Is it March yet? Hugs-Erika

    1. I don't mind a brown Winter. We were up near Sunapee on Sat. I was glad we didn't have the snow I saw or the slushy back roads and driveways. And 75 more days until the first day of Spring. 166 days until the first day of Summer.

    1. I haven't seen the cardinal pair I call Ma and Dad since the Fall. Hopefully, this will coax them out.

  3. We are having the same winter! I love your pictures CJ! They are very peaceful to me! I hope your lantern is ok? That was some high winds! Take Care!

    1. Most times, this is a very peaceful area, but the winds were so fierce the other night. I hope the lantern is ok, too. More high winds for today so it will stay there until the winds die down and I can right it and maybe weigh it down better.

  4. We're having highs in the 60s today and the next couple of days, but after that it'll be highs in the 40s. No snow or high winds anywhere in our forecast, but I don't like it cold so I'm fine with that :)

  5. Your overnight low was warmer than my HIGH on Saturday, which was 20 F. That was real temp, not wind chill temp.

LOVE the new garden banner. You know me and cardinals.

I thought we had a lot of wind recently, but you certainly had a lot more.

    1. The cardinal flag is a lot nicer than the old flag which had a snowflake on it. I always felt as if hanging it outside I was wishing for snow. So not me!
