The Friday Five Good Things

Five good things that happened this week.

1. Had a nice long chat with my cousin making plans to see each other when the weather improves as we missed our annual Summer lunch.

2. We didn't lose electricity during the storm.

3. Himself wasn't using an Intuos pen tablet so now it's mine. Besides drawing with it, I can "mouse" with my left hand.

4. I won a postcard in a raffle from a blog buddy.

5. My cousin sent me a photo of his grandparents. Another piece of my genealogy puzzle. I got to "meet" my great-aunt Angelina and her husband, great-uncle Manny, the stone cutter.

      I've been looking for my great-aunt and great-uncle for a long time. Dad had very fond memories of time spent with them. So really good to finally meet them

      I have been fascinated by this aunt and uncle since I started my genealogy search. It was so good to finally meet them

    That is a cool photo. I love getting old photos, seeing I was not the one who got them from my grandparents. And it is especially good you didn't lose power. My week was busy but went fast and now that my classes are done and I am all caught up, I can say it was a good one. Hugs-Erika

    That photo is wonderful. Sorry to read your basement flooded, though. Guess your sump pump couldn't keep up. It would ave been worse if you'd lost power, I suspect.

    Sounds like a wonderful week otherwise.

      poor sump pump has been singing its heart out, but with 2 inches of rain and the ground frozen solid, it just couldn't keep up. So glad we didn't lose electricity as that would have been so much worse
