How Does Your Garden Grow?

A purple finch or a house finch came to check out the bird feeder

Dedo poses with the hydrangea

The morning glories I transplanted seem to have survived the transplanting and heavy downpours

Avalanche on the snowball bushes

Crushed stone to fill in the holes of the footings and pavers for the inside

This giant, green tongue was identified by PlantNet as Sow Thistle. It's a weed that can grow up to 3 ft. tall and has clumps of flowers that look like dandelions. Leaves, flowers, and roots are edible.

A Great Blue Heron flew over the house! I was too slow to get a picture.

Himself decorated his little house with fairy lights

Make shift bench or shelves. Help, me Lord, he has tools!

Tomatoes, peppers, and other green things

The transplanted morning glories seem to be doing well. Hopefully, they really are morning glories and not wild  morning glories (aka Devil's Weed, Bind Weed).  Something thinks they are tasty. Himself said he found some holes in the leaves of the pepper plants. He thinks made by slugs. He will spray the plants with a solution of kaolin clay and water which won't harm the plants, but won't make them tasty for the critters.

Who will get to the wild blackberries first, us or the critters?

  8. I am in AWE of your husband's tools. I like that they are battery powered, so no need for electricity out in the new greenhouse. I'm a tool gal, so they really made my day!
