Cleaning out the back of a cupboard, I found the juice box holder the Eldest took to school when she was little. The holder isn't made of recyclable plastic, and I hated to throw it away. What to do? Bring it into the studio as a fun accessory to hold pens, pencils, etc.
Drop by hosts, Bleubeard and Elizabeth's blog to find out what the rest of the T Stands For gang is up to. If you want to play, include in your Tuesday post a beverage or container for a beverage. Don't forget to link your blog to Bleubeard and Elizabeth's page.
Oh, this is sweet, much too nice to throw away. I saw lambs at the Rhine today, so sweet! Happy T Day, Valerie
ReplyDeleteA lamb was the Eldest's favorite lovey.
DeleteFun to use something with good memories attached. I like the pen in the shape of a cat in the hat, too.

The Cat in the Hat pencil topper was a souvenir from a trip to the Dr. Seuess Museum in Springfield, MA where Ted Geisel was from. It was attached to a pen, but the pen leaked.
DeleteI love sheep-so I am loving this sweet lamb and perfect way to use it-would have me smiling to see it
ReplyDeleteHappy T wishes Kathy
It's a fun reminder of the Eldest and happy memories
DeleteThis is a good use and much better than just adding it to all the trash that's already out there. It is cute. Have a great T day CJ! Storm due here today, and hope you don't get any strong ones. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteI hope so, too. Himself is outside grounding the little greenhouse. Stay cool and stay safe today!
DeleteWell, you know the old saying....'use it up, wear it out, make it do or do without'. Good for you for being so eco friendly! Added side benefit is you get to see a reminder of the girlies when they were littles! Win/win! :)
ReplyDeleteLots of happy memories with this item. My dad gave the Eldest a Lambie the day he came to visit her when she was born. It turned out to be her favorite lovey and she still has it.
DeleteWhat a sweet idea! Fond memories :) Happy T Tuesday

DeleteAw, adorable and full of memories...and now pens!
ReplyDeleteLots of pens, pencils, and stuff. Like research books are to you! 😺
DeleteThat’s so cute and a lovely memory too

😊
DeleteNever did I ever know there was such a thing as a juice box holder! How did I miss this. I use to go to places like Pic and Save, Target, Walmart, all the places I might have seen something like this. Anyway, what a cute idea to use it for.
ReplyDeleteThe juice box holders prevent the littles from squeezing the boxes on the wrong side spurting juice through the straw. All those places carried them. Maybe juice manufacturers have improved the boxes or the holders aren't in fashion anymore.
Deletehow cute! I never knew they made juice box holders.... happy T day!
ReplyDeleteThey did 30 some odd years ago. Maybe everyone now just uses re-usable bottles.
DeleteI wouldn't have tossed it either...how cute....repurpose at its best :) ☺☺♥♥
ReplyDelete☺️
DeleteI've never heard of a juice box holder, but that is a very clever way to recycle that non-recyclable plastic. What a sweetie and a great memory to go with it. Thanks for sharing it with us for T this Tuesday, dear CJ.
ReplyDeleteIt was a long time ago and maybe a short-lived fad
DeleteLove your little sheep and it's such a wonderful way to upcycle 😀. I have a few items in my craft room which hold pens/brushes and hold special memories too, I bet it makes you smile every time you see it! Happy T Day! Hugs, Jo x
ReplyDeleteOne of the studio toys that makes me happy
DeleteOh that looks so good ...
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
☺️
DeleteAwww, that is so sweet. I love that you repurposed something that brought back a memory.
ReplyDeleteHappy Tea Day,
Kate
Just sentimental little me
DeleteSo Pleased You Held On To It For Our Joy As Well - And Those Bee Scissors Are Stellar - Very Handy - Stay Strong This Week
ReplyDeleteCheers
Those scissors are the best. I have them stashed all over the place
DeleteTotally cute juice box holder and it is perfect as a pen holder! I am sure you will smile when you look at - thinking of your daughter when she was small. I have a power puff girl keychain that was my daugher's when she was little and I hug it tight some days. Precious post. Happy late T-day!
ReplyDeleteAwww, that's sweet
DeleteThis makes the perfect pen holder. Have a great day today.
ReplyDeleteIt does and it doesn’t have a big foot print
DeleteDefinitely the best place for it! Belated Happy T Day, Chrisx

Sweet! You know I was never taught what the animals say.
