1. From the sun room, I watched a purple finch eat a dandelion puff. I wonder what he wished for?
2. Massachusetts removes the mask mandate with a few exceptions and businesses are allowed to open at full capacity.
3. The fairies (packages) arrived. On a Sunday! On a holiday weekend!
4. The Grand Niece age 3 (with help from her mom) called me on Facetime. We had a wonderful conversation. She showed me her new doll, says she enjoys painting, asked if I had toys so I showed her some things on my desk (she didn't like Godzilla 😺), and she showed me how her baby brother blows kisses. Talking to G made my week.
5. After running errands we stopped for take-out. The first Lobster Roll of the season in the sun room.
How was your week?
#1 sure made me smile.
ReplyDelete#2 - yay! Just keep the distance.
#3 - wow, won´t happen here, all closed but restaurants etc.
#4 Godzilla, LOL!
#5 not my food, but another yay for you!
Masks still required, but no "Corinna"-test, so we went to the deep garage for a yummy beer yesterday. It warmed up and we´re out and about soon.
Being out and about and a yummy beer makes a good day.
DeleteThe first lobster roll of the season is always the best. I had one this week too when I went to lunch with a friend. Glad to hear MA removed the mask mandate. WE don't have one here but still many folks still wearing them-of course it depends where you go. You know NH-Live Free or Die. I think you had a wonderful week CJ. I have also. Hope your weekend is also very nice. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteIndividual businesses can require masks. People seem to be wearing them in the grocery stores.
DeleteYou had a varied week :) The purple finches (or in my case, the house finches I can't distinguish from the purple finches) are so _red_ this year. They seem brighter than usual, and they're enjoying the hummingbird feeder.
ReplyDeleteThis purple finch seemed a little dull, perhaps a female. Love that they enjoy a sweet treat, too.
DeleteThe females are always dull, and I used to have trouble telling them apart from sparrows. They are the only birds other than hummingbirds that come to the hummingbird feeder.
DeleteThree year olds are the BEST! If only they didn't have to grow up....sigh. And YAY for lobster rolls! :D
ReplyDeleteIt was so fun to talk with her.

Deletedidn't like Godzilla !!!! too funny; though I didn't like the last two Godzilla movies I saw....Godzilla was NOT...Godzilla :) ☺☺
ReplyDeletehappy weekend ☺☺♥♥
She was funny about Godzilla. "I don't like him" "But look, he's smiling." She still wasn't enthusiastic about him, but curious as to why he got to hold my pencil.
DeleteHow lovely to Facetime with your Grand Niece :)
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
She was so cute

ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing Memorial weekend. We got rid of ours two weeks ago, but I'm going to wear a mask until hell freezes over, or until the entire world is inoculated.
It was good you had facetime with your grand niece. I've still never had a lobster roll. Maybe someday you lucky gal.
You need to come East to have a lobster roll. If they have to truck it in, it ain’t fresh 😉
DeleteSounds like a good week.
ReplyDeleteIt was
DeleteSounds like a fab week! Wow, doesn't time fly ... I can't believe your grand niece is 3 already and how lovely to Facetime with her 😁. Take care and wishing you a happy June! Hugs, Jo x
ReplyDeleteNot only is the GN 3 years old, but her Baby Brother is already 9 mos. old!
DeleteA great week! You got me laughing when you said the Grand Niece didn't like Godzilla. LOL! Big Hugs!
ReplyDeleteYeah, she wasn’t impressed with Godzilla. 😺
