How Does Your Garden Grow?

Some new fairy garden stakes I found.

Carrying home wishes

Tiptoe

Blowing in the wind

Leaping over a wish. Oh, dear. Somebody needs to weed the garden.

Himself was complaining that one of MY burrowing critters has been eating the blossoms from Audrey 2

But I think it's because Audrey 2 is sprouting zucchinis

An Update on Mysterious Bird Death from the Cornell Lab of Ornithology has recommended that bird feeders and bird baths can be put back outside. The number of bird deaths hasn't increased and the disease hasn't been seen beyond the mid-Atlantic , mid-West and Southern states. Though there isn't a definitive answer to what caused the bird deaths, there is some thinking that the deaths corresponded to the periodical cicadas. Either the insects were infected with a fungus or people had tried to eradicate the bugs with pesticide. All that to say that it would be safe to put the bird feeder and bird baths back in the garden.

Cherry tomatoes. My favorite!

A morning glory seeded itself in the middle of the backyard.

The first zucchini of the season

Beautiful sunset that

made the sky look like it was on fire.

Himself got to the tomato before Timex did. The tomato was delicious.

And the birds are back.

    1. Not much else for the harvest has come in. I suppose a good thing as only Himself and me to eat it. Storms down here are supposed to be sporadic though it didn't look like any in my area

  5. Your garden is always a pleasure to see. We don't get the 17-year periodical cicadas, but the annual cicadas are serenading us :) I'm glad you can put the feeders back out. I know you've missed them.

    1. I don't think we get the 17 yr periodical cicadas, either. I missed seeing the birds and thrilled they came right back to the feeder. I thought it would take a week or so for the birds to return.

    1. The zucchini is so big, I've used it 3 times. Grilled some, made some Zoodles, and today will use the remainder to make a zucchini bread

  8. i always enjoying looking at what's growing in the garden. I have too many trees and can't see the sunset from my house but i can walk a few houses up and see it. it's been spectacular this summer because of the monsoonal clouds.

    1. I think the sunsets here have been spectacular due to the fires out in your neck of the woods.

  9. I've never seen or even heard a cicada in my life. Glad your bird feeders are back in action. LOVE the little fairies you found for your garden, too. Your garden is far more prolific than mine, that's for sure.
