The Friday Five Good Things

Iris, a picture of my Hausschuhe when they were new, just for you

Five good things that happened this week.

1. Another wonderful piece of happy mail arrived

2. Heard from the Eldest. Her trip to Philly had to be postponed because of the mega snowstorm hitting the Erie, PA and Buffalo, NY areas. She's safe and sound. She's rescheduled to leave on Monday. Fingers crossed.

3. In a box of stuff, I found the Black Factis eraser I've been looking for in nearly forever

4. Another snag in the Eldest's travel plans, but third time's a charm. The employment agency she's working for, got her a flight from Erie to Philly via Charlotte! But she arrived and made it to the hotel safe and sound.

5. Thanksgiving Day, nice, quiet, low-key, just the way I like spending my holidays.

How was your week?

  1. I have those slippers but with the moose on them. Mine are old, but still so comfy. Sounds like a nice week! Even though I went to my SIL's house for turkey day, it was still low key. I just ate way too much-smile. Have a great FRiday. Stay dry!

    1. Sounds like you had a nice holiday. I think everyone eats way too much. At least, I did, too.

  2. Good that you enjoyed the holiday! We had a plan with 8 people for TG dinner, but two were down with Covid, one was exposed, and the rest of us decided to postpone until it’s safe. So we had a small dinner. And I was thankful not to overeat!

  8. Nice the travel agency got the eldest there on time. LOVE those slippers.

I had to cancel Thanksgiving because I was sick. Yesterday my friend Scott came and we had a nice Thanksgiving without any muss or fuss. And NO turkey, either. Sounds like your holiday was glorious.
