Angry Mama is helping me clean the microwave/convection oven. She makes cleaning the microwave easy. Angry Mama is filled with a solution of vinegar and water. She takes a 5 minute spin in the microwave where she gets really steamed. A couple of minutes for her to cool down and then the inside of the micro can be wiped down.

ReplyDeleteI found her on Amazon along with Stinky Mama (container for baking soda in fridge). I got them for the Eldest, but then decided to order a set for me, too. Why should she have all the fun?

DeleteOne of my least favorite cleaning jobs. Luckily, for me, since the kitchen re-do the microwave is JUST a bit too high for me to reach to the back to clean it (without the help of a step stool) so Husband gets the honors! (wink wink)

ReplyDeleteWhite vinegar makes an excellent cleaner. Like bleach it gets rid of germs without the toxicity of bleach. or the nasty smell. Though cleaning with vinegar sometimes smells like pickles. 😺 To clean the micro without the Angry Mama, pour some white vinegar in a small microwaveable safe bowl. Add some water and microwave for 3 to 5 min. Let cool. Unplug microwave and use the vinegar/water on a damp cloth to clean the inside of the microwave.
