While the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania can boast having the most famous groundhog weather prognosticator, Punxsutawney Phil, Massachusetts has its own groundhog, the Divine Ms. G
In 2014, Mish Michaels, WBZ meteorologist, and students from the Hunnewell School in Wellesley campaigned to have Ms G named as the official state groundhog. Through Ms. G, the children learned about weather, the environment, and state government.
