The recipe comes from Gemma's Bigger Bolder Baking. The video contains instructions for making 3 different mug "pies": pumpkin, apple crisp, pecan. The Apple Crisp segment starts at 2:56.
This looks so good. Quick and easy to make a sweet treat without the temptation to eat an entire pan. It would pair nicely with a cup of tea either for dessert or a breakfast.
Check out Gemma's other mug recipes. Looks like she has mug meals as well as desserts.

Good morning CJ I am seeing more of these mug recipes around too-they do sound perfect for a just a little something. Thanks for sharing the video. Happy T wishes Kathy
ReplyDeleteI like them because they are fast, use ingredients that you already have, and very little cleanup
DeleteWow what a great video and idea for the mug apple crisp. I will try it. Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteI put apples on my shopping list to try the recipe
DeleteMy fav is cheesecake in a cup! Yummy! :)
ReplyDeleteHimself doesn't like cheesecake so I'll have to give that one a try
DeleteMug cakes have been big hits on and off for a long time, and it’s fun how many recipes have emerged since the first one which was a chocolate cake, I think.
ReplyDeleteI make individual apple crisps in pyrex custard cups, but bake them in the toaster oven so that the topping really gets crisp. It’s a bit slower, but they can be ready for dessert if they go in the oven when you start eating. If you are going to use fresh apples, you have to cut them up no matter how you cook them. And if you use canned pie filling it will be too much for a single or even for two.

DeleteFabulous and I'll have pumpkin please ...lol 😊. Thanks for sharing they all look delicious! Sending you Happy T Day wishes! Hugs Jo x
ReplyDeleteDon't they, just?
DeleteMy sweet tooth woke up!!!
ReplyDeleteDarn it, would´ve been perfect for the old apples we had - I gave them to Peanut (our Squirrel(s)).
Will keep this in mind, thank you and happy T-Day!
Now you know what to do with old apples. Maybe Peanut will like the crisp topping, too
DeleteThis sounds good, I have some apples that need using up....Happy T day!
ReplyDeleteThere you go
DeleteI am always looking for recipes that are not making so much you throw half of them away. These all sound good. I am definitely going to make my choc. chip cookies again as I got just 24 out of the recipe. Just enough for 2 cookie sheets and for a few days of cookie snacks for the hubby and I. Hope you are having a nice T day. Are you in the snow zone tomorrow? I know; it's a BAD word. hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteWe are in a freezing mix, but by early tomorrow morning, temps should warm up and everything turns to rain and any slush will melt. I hope
DeleteWow! That is just up my street! I have already Copied the recipes and I shall start looking for pecans this week. ( not readily available here). I’ll definitely let you know how they turned out. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteHappy T Day,
Hugs,
Lisca
I've been haunting Gemma's site as she has some really great looking recipes
DeleteOh yum. I love quick and easy:)
ReplyDeleteIt's the only way to cook.
DeleteMug recipes are great aren't they.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Yup. Yummy, easy to prepare, and not a lot of clean up
DeleteThis sounds delicious. I used to follow a plan that had a lot of mug desserts. They were good and easy which is my cup of tea.
ReplyDeleteHappy Tea Day,
Kate
You said the magic word: easy
DeleteLike you said, easy to prepare and not a lot of clean up.
ReplyDeleteThat makes them perfect
DeleteYou sent me down a rabbit hole when you sent me to Gemma's blog. Now I am REALLY behind. Gotta love those meals in a mug. My favs were tortilla/taco in a mug and mac and cheese in a mug.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing these with us for T this Tuesday, CJ.
Hugs,
E
I've been perusing the recipes, too.
DeleteI've never tried one of these mug- or cup-recipes, but I'm sure one day I will. It sounds easy enough and a little dessert in the afternoon is just the ticket.
ReplyDeleteIndeed
DeleteThis is something I am definitely going to try! Berry time is finished over here and hubby does like his desserts. Belated Happy T Day, Chrisx
ReplyDeleteThese recipes are easy to customize. You can use fresh, frozen, or canned (tinned) fruit. You would just have to adjust the cook time.
