The Friday Five Good Things


 Five good things that happened this week.

1. A little late but we celebrated the Boston Red Sox Opening Season with hot dogs, brown bread, and baked beans

2. Sad to hear of the passing of Richard Chamberlain. I called in sick to Filene's (department store) so I could watch the Hallmark Hall of Fame production of Hamlet 11/17/1970

3. I signed up for a Zentangle class. I thought Nan might be interested, and she signed up, too

4. I assembled tools needed for class and ordered a few things I did not have

5. For a treat I had some baklava. Not as good as Ma made, but sweet nostalgia

    I need to make some brown bread and do a hot dog and beans dinner. That sounds delicious. And fun you made baklava. I should make some of that too. Sounds like you had a good week CJ. Me too, but I have definitely been missing the sunshine.

      i didn't make baklava, I bought it. It was good but didn't come close to what Ma made

    I was sad to hear about Val Kilmer too... loved him in Top Gun and The Saint....
    *Rain is flirting with us... at least thats something...
    *Had a great day with the Littles in little blow up pool we have on the back porch...
    *Received and posted on blog the results of the Art Comp
    *Had a nice chat with daughter while she washed some clothes without the kiddos.... doesn't happen often...
    *Caught up with the weedeating for the moment... how many times this year will i be able to say that...lol

    your week sounds good. I use to try my hand an zentangles. Never was very good at it. My week was busy with phone calls, babysitting the new grandgirl and their huskie dog, a few days shopping at local stores for our weekly groceries and that's about it.

      well it was but she is about 5 months now and likes to be held on your lap so she can jump up and down...Gave my arms a good workout.

    I don't know much abou9t Richard Chamberlain. Can't think of anything I've seen him in. But I AM familiar with Val Kilmer.

    I HATE zentangles. I grip my pen too tight and my hand freezes. I have to stop and rub my hand. Someone who is GREAT at zentangles is Patty. She makes the most original ones I have ever seen.

    I do find the weeks go quickly.
    You had baklava and a friend of mine treated me to a rather delicious Danish pastry :)
