How Does Your Garden Grow?

Morning glories climbing the trellis

Cucumber plant not looking too good. Looks like something is eating it from the inside.

Looks like the peppers are budding.

The honeysuckle vine erupted in full bloom.

Ferns taking over the snowball bushes.

Queen Anne's lace and the variegated leaves

Just a little bit of rain this week. The bird bath filled with clean water for the hot and humid weather ahead.

View of Ink's garden.

Timex refusing to get out of the feeder when I yelled at him.

    1. Poor Timex? Poor birds because he sits in the feeder and stuffs himself and the birds don't get a turn.

  3. No garden here CJ...the deer would eat it in a heartbeat.. lol I did plant some Elderberries this Spring and they are doing good.. The deer take the occassional nibble but so far they are still determined to grow.. Hugs! deb

    1. Apparently, I don't have things the deer like to eat. I've seen their heart-shaped tracks in Winter, so I know they are in the area, but rarely get a chance to see them.

  6. Love all these pics of your garden Did you know that they are using honeysuckle in place of catnip in cat toys in some stores? A friend of mine gave the cats two of them as Christmas gifts one year and they LOVED IT! It has the same effect on them as catnip does but is supposed to be healthier?

    1. Had no idea. Ink never seemed to be interested in catnip toys.

  7. Looks like your garden is doing FAR, FAR better than mine. Yours is blooming everywhere, while mine is dead.

  8. My honeysuckle is sadly not showing any signs of blooming. Your Queen Anne's Lace is gorgeous! I tried to transplant some once, but those roots are sooo deep! I had to get a different kind of feeder just to keep squirrels and chipmunks off of one of them lol Such persistence! I'm trying to root bee balm and lavender and rubber tree plants right now. I love the summertime :)
