The Friday Five Good Things

Five good things that happened this week

1. I helped Himself clean out his office than we went out to lunch.

2. Himself bought a George Foreman grill so we've been playing with grilling veggies and chicken.

3. I found fresh spuckies (sub/hoagie/hero rolls) for sausage subs and grilled veggies.

4. Made hotel reservations for our trip to Pennsylvania, Ohio, and South Carolina

5. Heavy downpours and the basement didn't flood.

How was your week?

  1. Your week doesn't sound bad. Grilled veggies and chicken are yummy. My week wasn't bad but it's too hot for my liking. Hugs, Valerie

  2. BTW, they are calling for 98 degree hot, humid temps all weekend and into next week here. YUK!!! Looks like I will not be walking anywhere. :P

  4. Sally has TWO George Foreman grills and loves them both. I think they work best for meat, so I've never cared for one.

We have been in a heat advisory since Wednesday and it continues through tomorrow at 5 pm. Three days in a row, we've hit at least 102 F with heat indices of 109 F to 112 F. Come live in my world for two weeks and you will NEVER ask for summer again (grin).

  5. I never heard of the word spuckies. And living in the Worcester area, don't you mean grinder rolls? :) When do you go on your trip? It sounds like you'll be having some adventure this summer. Happy weekend. Hugs-Erika

    1. Spucky is actually an East Boston word. Since my family is from Eastie, I spent a lot of time there growing up. I'm a carpetbagger by Worcester terms. If it's not a spucky, it's a sub.
