Exercise. The dreaded word. I don't like to exercise. It just seems to take so much time and effort out of the day. Until I discovered Cubii. Cubii is an eliptical machine you use while seated. Use it at your desk or while watching TV...
No more excuses for me about having to drive to a safe place to walk, taking too much time out of my day. I now pedal as part of my normal morning routine: watching the news, reading/composing blogs, cruising Facebook, banking....All the things I would sit around doing before my day really started.
I can even sip my tea while pedaling away.
How do you work exercising into your day?
Drop by hosts, Bleubeard and Elizabeth's blog to find out what the rest of the T Stands For gang is up to. If you want to play, include in your Tuesday post a beverage or container for a beverage. Don't forget to link your blog to Bleubeard and Elizabeth's page.
Good morning, I always have had such a difficult time keeping exercise in a daily routine. I like to walk here on our property-but now that the heat is too much as well as those ticks chiggers I am in the house.
ReplyDeleteI like your set up-a nice way to exercise in the morning and multi task-perfect.
Happy T Day Kathy
the Cubii has worked well for me.
DeleteGreat way to multitask AND get the exercising in! I do love to walk but I know I should be doing more than that. Oh well. Happy T day!
ReplyDeleteEven though the area I live in is rural, I live on the main road. No sidewalks and cars and especially trucks fly down the road so it isn't safe to walk along. The Cubbi has worked out well
DeleteSounds like an interesting idea ... exercise and burn off some calories while you multitask. Hmmm, may have to look into it!
ReplyDeleteI like the idea I can sit and do my normal routine and get some exercise in at the same time.
DeleteI've seen a similar machine shown on TV, but I'm a mover, anyway, since I can;t sit for any length of time at all. That's why I take so long to visit everyone.
ReplyDeleteI like your Grinch and your tea looks like my coffee, which is also laden with 1/2 and 1/2. Thanks for sharing your tea and exerciser with us for T this Tuesday.
BTW, your screen looks as laden with apps as Sally's. You wouldn't believe it, but I don't put ANY icons on my desktop.
And I just cleaned my desktop of icons that are no longer needed.
DeleteWell good for you CJ!!! Ah exercise... we have a love hate relationship... I'm very good at starting an exercise regime but terrible at keeping it up...sigh.. But.. i keep trying... Happy T day!! Hugs! deb
ReplyDeleteI've been rowing the start, but not finishing boat, too. Until now. It's been a month and no excuses as the Cubii is under my chair.
DeleteI have a Nordic walker machine and even use it on days I can't get out, but I do a lot of walking. Happy T Day, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteI had a Nordic walker that was given to me. It ended up being a clothes horse :-D
DeleteI thought about a Cubii for a nano-second....then I realized it would ruin my TV/computer time and decided against it! ;)
ReplyDeleteI thought the same thing, but I'm finding I can still watch TV and computer without losing a nano-second.
DeleteI mean well about walking, but somehow I don't get out and do it. I do have a routine I'm faithful with: some light weights, and I love yoga!
ReplyDeleteHappy T Tuesday :)
The important thing is moving.
DeleteGood for you ... and your Cubii, CJ!
ReplyDeleteI do my exercise the very first thing in the morning. Before I even shower. Fortunately I love to move, dance, work out. It wasn't so four years ago. I was getting weak and losing my sense of balance. I had several falls. I had a wake-up call when I fell and broke my elbow. So, again, I say ... good for you!
Happy T-day! Hugs, Eileen
Wow! An excellent reason to keep on moving.
DeleteGonna have to look into one of these! Great idea!
ReplyDeleteI really like it. It's portable, but would be hard to take to a coffee shop as it's a bit on the hefty side =^,.^=
DeleteThat's a really interesting exercise machine, I've not seen one like it before. Good for you multi tasking and exercising at the same time.
ReplyDeleteHappy T day wishes.
Yvonne xx
I think I first saw it cross my Facebook feed.
DeleteWell done, that’s a great way to exercise! I love aerobics and do an exercise class every week, as well as walking or cycling on our tandum three or four times a week :-). At the moment I seem to be getting a lot of exercise gardening too, well my aching body seems to think that anyway …lol ;-). Wishing you a Happy T Day! J x
ReplyDeleteI used to walk once a week with my friend, Red, but our schedules haven't coincided.
DeleteHaha!I had to laugh. I don't like exercising either. But I love the idea of drinking tea while exercising.
ReplyDeleteHappy Tea Day,
Kate
The civilized way to hydrate :-D
DeleteMarvelous way to burn some calories, and low impact too! I often "walk-in-place" while watching tv or scanning the internet on my phone. Not as effective as actually propelling myself forward perhaps, but better than just sitting on the couch! That's how I get so many steps (that are recorded in my journal pages) Good for You!! Happy T Day! ♥
ReplyDeleteMoving is better than sitting.
DeleteThat's a cool idea. I love walking but who has the extra time with work and everything else so I could use one of these. Sorry to be late for T this week. Schools wrapping up and the to do lists are very long right now. Hope it was a great one! And hope you now get some exercise. :) Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteSince it's under the table in the sunroom, no more excuses.
DeleteExercise becomes addictive the more you do it. The primary reason I have a dog is to get me to take mile walks 3x a day. As a stay at home freelance artist I could easily sit in my studio all day.
ReplyDeleteNow I get up at 630-- awake-- and I take my bike for a ride, then after showering I take the dog for the first of his many walks. I also like to go for a run when the sun just starts to set.
Anyone who says they don't have time for exercise is just making an excuse, and the benefits far outweigh the trouble of finding 30 mins a day somewhere.
It also helps if exercise is enjoyable and doesn't feel like exercise. Like walking the dog or peddling the elliptical while playing on the computer.
DeleteThis does seem like a very good idea, although we do like to get out and walk too! Just spotted your Grinch mug at the last minute---love it! Belated Happy T day! Chrisxx
ReplyDeleteI'm a Grinch before that first cup of tea in the morning. :-D
DeleteExcellent idea CJ! I joined a gym in 2016. I really try to go at least 3 times a week, but I have to admit, sometimes, it is a pain! LOL! I feel gardening and shovelling snow, is a lot of exercise!!
ReplyDeleteGardening and shoveling should count twice as much
DeleteI agree!
