Alphabet Sunday

Since nothing much will be changing in How Does Your Garden Grow?, I'll show a letter of the alphabet I found while on Enders Island in July and October. Alphabet Sunday will be interrupted if anything of interest happens in the garden or an obligatory whine about snowfall.

  3. lol!

We've started getting junkos here (we call them snowbirds) so that's been of interest, and this year's squirrel crop hasn't figured out the squirrel baffle yet so that's fun to watch.

I've discovered MeWe and WT.Social as potential alternatives to FB. Maybe there'll be gardening groups there ;)

    1. It's been cold and rainy so I haven't had a chance to wash out the bird feeders. So no seed, no birds or critters.

    2. oops... that's "junco". They're ground feeders and don't come to feeders. We identified them as slate-colored juncos when I was a child. Sweet little things: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dark-eyed_junco#Slate-colored_juncos

    3. I knew what you meant. We get them here, call them snowbirds, too. The ones I've seen tend to be dark grey almost black so they are stark against the snow.

    4. Yes, we only get them in the wintertime :) It makes up a bit for the loss of the hummingbirds.

  4. Not only do I not know anything about most of the movies you post, I had NO idea what a junco was, either. I know nothing about many, many things. I DO know math is my friend. I like your Sunday alphabet post.

    1. If we all knew about and liked the same things, how boring life would be. It would be like we were all in parochial school. 😺

    1. It started last year when I began "decorating" the blog according to the month or holiday. It will be changing again on 1. December. This particular blog background comes from The Cutest Blog on the Block
