Five good things that happened this week.
1. Traveled the backroads home from Enders. Beautiful scenery and little traffic.
2. Caught up on all the shows I missed while I was a way. Supernatural, Prodigal Son, Emergence, and Evil
3. Someone in a white car let me back out of the driveway!😮 Driving kindness is an oxymoron in Massachusetts.
4. Looked for new lighting for the office.
5. High winds knocked the electricity out on Halloween. I didn't do storm prep. Hooray for National Grid for restoring power within an hour. And I filled up a couple of buckets of water just in case.
How was your week?
Wow, that driver must be from some other state and living in MA. Smile. hat makes the whole week, doesn't it? And the rest sounds good, even though I think you had as much clouds and wet weather as we did. Happy November. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteThat was my thought about the driver, too! 😺
DeleteGreat! Have a lovely weekend ☺☺
ReplyDeleteSounds good. Road rage is more common here than driving kindness. Have a great day, Valerie
ReplyDeleteSame here. So at first, I didn't know what I was supposed to do 😺
DeleteSounds like a great week! Glad the electricity was sorted so quickly, sitting in the dark with candles at Halloween sounds too spooky to me ...lol 😉. Wishing you a happy Friday and Weekend! Hugs, Jo x
ReplyDeletep.s. I'm loving the Thanksgiving kitty cat eating the turkey and pie - super cute! x
I don't have candles because I was always worried about them around Ink. He liked knocking stuff off counters and tables. We have battery powered lanterns. Not as romantic, but safer. The Thanksgiving kitty is Pusheen. She comes from a comic strip.
DeleteVery good things to be happy about:) Driving here in Oregon is just the opposite - people are pretty polite. You can sit at a stop sign with other drivers for 10 minutes: "You go." "No, you go." "No, you go." It's different...
ReplyDeleteCourtesy is mentioned in the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles Driving Handbook, but is seldom followed. 😉
DeleteSpooky to lose power on Halloween! ;D
ReplyDeletePurrfect night for it 😺
DeleteBack roads scenery this time of year would be worth the trip in itself :) People here are filled with pleasant courtesy until you put them behind the wheel of a motorized vehicle, and then it's crazy!

DeleteNumber One sounds a very good thing …
ReplyDeleteHappy November Wishes, and have a good weekend.
All the best Jan
And you, Jan
DeleteGolly CJ, I haven't seen ANY of these movies/series shows. They just didn't look appealing to me. In the 114 years or so that Supernatural has been on, I've never seen a full one. I can't seem to get into the evil brother and whatever brother!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Erika. I found MA was NOT a friendly state and Boston was the worst. Even Cambridge was a bit stand offish. Sounds like you had a far better week than I had.
The brothers aren't evil per se (though at one time they were both possessed), they hunt and kill monsters and fight evil.
DeleteNew Englanders as a rule aren't as friendly as Mid-Westerners. We've been described as cold and it takes some time for the thaw. I once heard a description that if you moved into the area, you wouldn't be accepted until you had planted 7 generations or the first person you met died. 😉😺
I'm glad the drive home from Enders Island had nice scenery. (I'm back tracking through your posts.) It's always a shock when another driver does something courteous, like let you back out of the driveway. It's cutthroat here in CT, too. About a week ago, I did that good deed, and let a pickup truck back out of a driveway. He waved thanks.
ReplyDeleteThat was really nice of you
