How Does Your Garden Grow?

 Back to front story

Looks like the morning glory reseeded itself in the pot from last year. Now growing among the weeds

What happened too much rain and the cuke is turning yellow?

Who ate all the flowers from the vine?

Rabbit, rabbit.

Almost ready to pick

Morning glories starting to appear in Ink's garden

Lettuce

Zucchini?

Green bell peppers

Rotrow! Looks like Himself planted Jalapeno peppers.  Anybody want some hot peppers?

Looking good, Little Cuke

Turning red

The Little Shop of Horrors plant inside the greenhouse. Feed me! Feed me!

The hydrangea bush isn't as full with blooms as past years, but more blooms than the past couple of years.

Morning glories filling in on the post lantern

Down with the Birthday month flag. Up with a flag for August

Morning glories making a show on the trellis.

Welcome August. Hopefully, more beach days than last month.

  1. Hi CJ, enjoy your August. The garden is looking good. Rabbits do like tasty fresh flowers and shoots, don't they! My balcony garden is flourishing. Have a great Sunday, Valerie

    1. We weren't sure if the flower nabbers were rabbits or deer.

  3. What we really need is a nice stretch of sunshine. I picked a couple of tomatoes yesterday that actually grew into each other. It's like a cluster but 1. Very strange, like the weather. My garden is much slower than yours I think; I'm still waiting for produce. Hope you have sun. Here it is cloudy with a chance of (once again) more rain. Happy August CJ! Your plants are looking good!

    1. We have sunshine now with clouds moving in this afternoon and surprise (not) a chance of showers. We'll probably get the sunny stretch in January! 😺

    1. Hopefully, our rain will stop. We've had the wettest July on record since they began collecting weather data.

  7. Your garden is doing SO much better than mine. I have no tomatoes, no little flowers on my peppers, no cantaloupe, but lots of yellow flowers, and my squash has died a horrid watery death. Your garden is growing nicely, dear.

  8. Your garden is really producing and i love the color of your house. The style - reminds me of my uncles house in Kansas City when you can see the upstairs but look to the side a bit and you know there is a downstairs. Here in the mountains a lot of homes like the one I'm in, have the living are basically downstars but the kitchen, eating area and two bedrooms up and then a bedroom downstairs also. I like the bedroom downstairs because it stays much cooler in summer...

    1. The color of the house is Benjamin Moore "Denim". It was the closest shade to Wedgewood Blue that I could find. The house is a ranch with all rooms on one floor. There is a cellar/basement which has been finished, but it now more or less collecting junk.
