I love how chickadees are so interactive. Compared to most wild birds who fly off. It was a good pick for a state bird. Ours in NH is the purple finch, which has a really pretty song. Happy weekend.

No outside cats here
We get chickadees, but they are seasonal on our patio. They are such fun to watch! Our state bird is the mockingbird.
I wouldn't know a chickadee if it landed on my shoulder. Thanks for sharing this fascinating information with us.
I've never seen a mockingbird
They are usually shown as Winter birds along with cardinals on Christmasy stuff
