Do They See Ghosts?

Cats sometimes sit still just staring at the ceiling. Do they see ghosts? I quietly approached Calli so I could try to see what she was looking at. It was...

Little fly upon the wall,
ain't you got no clothes at all?
Ain't you got no shimmy shake?
Little fly, ain't you cold?

From a Three Stooges Short recited by "Curly" Howard

  1. I swear, she looks like a statue! And I chuckled when you revealed what she was staring at. - Anne (Cornucopia)

    1. She didn't move a muscle even when I got close to take her picture. I didn't expect to see the fly either.

  2. I didn't realize Callie was that white. Ha ha about her seeing a fly. You may think I'm absolutely nuts but I did see one of my cats as a ghost-twice. It made me happy that she was so happy she didn't want to leave us. Or at least I think that's why she was still hanging around. (and I'm not sure I even believe in ghosts.) Happy Monday.

    1. Calli is all white. She used to have a little grey smudge on the top of her head when she was a kitten, but the smudge is gone now that she's an adult. Cool story about your ghost cat

    1. I don't know about keeping them out, but cats let you know when bugs are around 😺

  8. I've watched both my cats stare for a long time at something that wasn't there, but ran like Hades when the camera came out. You are lucky.

    1. Ink was like that. He didn't like having his picture taken, but Calli and Quill don't mind. Sometimes they pose for the camera
