This is so funny. Even in little Germany you find so many accents and different words for the same things.... In Australia I was often left wondering what they mean, too - fun.
That was fun. I hope we never all sound the same because it's so interesting to have a local sound. I must have a pretty pronounced accent because when I travel I get comments about it, and I even got laughed at once in western Canada. Hope you stay dry today.
Funny how alot of those seemed forced, over emphasized. Would have been cool if they would have had them say all the same word or phrase. But i liked all the extra information they gave too.. Really cool CJ Thanks! Hugs! deb
Yeah, the girl doing the Boston accent was a bit over the top. Everyone knows you can't pahk yah cah in Hahvahd Yahd. There's a gate around it. 🤣 Arthur would have been a good word. At least for Boston: Ahtha
Accents in Tennessee depend on where in the state you live. It's much different in West than in East Tennessee and much different in Memphis than in nearby rural areas.
I loved this! I find all accents interesting, but American accents are fascinating, because so different to UK.
ReplyDeleteAnd we think the same thing about our across the Pond neighbors

ReplyDeleteThe same in MA. Out towards the Western part of the state, the "Boston" accent isn't as pronounced
DeleteI was blown away. We really ARE all unique.
