Another quiet day. I did receive next week's schedule from the contractor.
1. He found the wall tile and has it. Whew!
2. The decorative tile hasn't arrived. It will take two weeks to come in though I was under the impression that this week was the second week.
3. The cabinets will be here on Monday.
4. The rope tile trim to go around the mural and the window should be here tomorrow.
5. The painter will arrive tomorrow morning to prime the walls so they will cure over the weekend.
There's a question of whether to start tiling leaving "holes" for the decorative tiles or just to start with the bottom course(s). I think it would be best to wait until the decorative tiles arrive, just in case they aren't the same size as the field tile. Then planning and spacing can be done.
Also, the electrician moved the thermostat box because it was going to be behind the cabinets. The hole is still there and needs to be patched.
Another productive push and shove.
