We had a meeting with the carpenter and the cabinet maker to determine the final sizes for the custom cabinets over the sink and the tall cabinet unit which will house brooms and linens. Because I'm dense when it comes to numbers, the carpenter patiently used blue tape to show where all the cabinets would live so I had a visual. The cabinet maker left with one of the vanity doors so he can closely match the finish.
Then we were framed! The carpenter and a helper spent the day framing the bathroom for walls, cabinet and the shower. New insulation was put in the bays under the window. The vent for the dryer was installed.
The building inspector and the electrical inspector came and signed off on the rough work. And we got the green light to continue. Whew!
Yay for progress! It's going to be so beautiful when it's all finished.
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing and fun when it all goes as it should, isn't it?
